History

The Church of Ss. Peter and Paul in the town of Tway was built in 1947 and blessed by Bishop Andrew Roborecki in 1955. Before the construction of the church in town, local Ukrainian Catholics worshipped at the church of St. Paraskevia which stood a few miles from Tway. This church had been built by the early settlers who arrived in the area around 1899.
Ss. Peter and Paul Church in Tway has been lovingly cared for by its congregation over the years and has had some major upgrades. The interior was decorated by Saskatoon artist, Theodore Baran, and the windows and foundation were replaced in the 1990s and early 2000s.
Tway is pastorally cared for by clergy from the parish of St. George at Prince Albert.
