History

The need for a parish in the city of Humboldt became apparent as the rural Ukrainian Catholic population began to shift toward major centres. The first liturgy was celebrated here by Rev. Cyryl Lotoski in 1949 in St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church.
In 1950, the church of All Saints was built. It was decorated by the artist Theodore Baran in 1955 and consecrated by Bishop Andrew Roborecki in 1960.
The parish is served by clergy from Wynyard.
The information provided here is taken in part from the work of Anna Maria Kowcz-Baran, Ukrainian Catholic Churches of Saskatchewan, published in 1977. This monumental historical survey can be found for sale at the Musee Ukraina Museum for $20.00
