History

A log and clay church was built in 1906 by the first settlers of this area on land which was blessed by the Basilian missionary, Fr. Sozont Dydyk, O.S.B.M. In 1918, this simple structure was converted into a parish hall and a more substantial domed church was built. This church stood until 1964 when it was struck by lightning and tragically destroyed. The community came together to build the present structure which was blessed by Bishop Andrew Roborecki in 1974.
This church continues to be lovingly cared for by its community.
The parish is cared for by the parish of Dormition in Saskatoon.
