The first Ukrainian settlement in what would become the province of Saskatchewan was established in Grenfell in 1891. This settlement was short lived but in 1923, there were enough Ukrainians in the area to justify the establishment of a parish. Until this time, Ukrainian Catholics attended the local Roman Catholic church.
The Parish of Ss. Peter and Paul is cared for from St. Basil in Regina.
