Fr. Andre Lalach
The first Church of Ss. Peter and Paul at Bodnari was built in 1906 near what remains the parish cemetery. This early structure, made of logs and clay, served the community until 1936, when the present church was constructed on a more accessible portion of the site, alongside what is now Highway 767. The church was blessed in 1939 by Bishop Neil Savaryn.
The Church of Ss. Peter and Paul is lovingly maintained by its parishioners and has been registered as a historic site. Divine Liturgy is celebrated regularly during the summer months.
The parish of Ss. Peter and Paul in Bodnari is cared for by Dormition of the Mother of God Parish in Sutherland.
