History

The parish of the Holy Eucharist in Cudworth meets in the chapel of St. Michael’s Haven, the local retirement home. The first church in the town of Cudworth was built in 1928. Before this point, local Ukrainian Catholics worshiped at the rural church of the Transfiguration at Spasa, which stood a few miles south of town. Both the church in town and the farms church were lost to fire in the 1960s. The church of the Holy Eucharist in the town of Cudworth was rebuilt in 1966 and sold in 2022.
For the entirety of its history, until the reorganization of 2022, the parish of the Holy Eucharist oversaw the maintenance of and organized the pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Sorrows south-west of town. The longstanding pilgrimage continues annually thanks to the commitment and efforts of the community. In 2022, the Shrine passed to the care of the Monastery of the Three Holy Hierarchs.
Cudworth is pastorally cared for by clergy from the parish of St. George at Prince Albert.
