Fr. Basil Malowany
Ukrainian settlers arrived in the area around the village of Insigner in 1898. The first liturgy in this are was celebrated by the missionary Fr. Achille Delaere, C.Ss.R. in 1904. Shortly thereafter, a small church was constructed by the people of the area. A larger church was built to replace the first in 1911. In April 1931, this church was lost to fire. The people rallied to rebuild, and the present church was completed by the end of that year.
This parish has been maintained and upgraded lovingly over the years by its parishioners.
