The Church of St. John Bohoslow was built in the early 1940s to replace a smaller church. This first church had been built on the site in 1914 and had been blessed by Blessed Bishop Nykyta Budka. When it was dismantled, the material was used in the construction of the present church which was completed and blessed in 1945.
The first settlers in this area were organized by the prolific missionary, Fr. Achille Delaere, C.Ss.R.
The parish is served by clergy from Wynyard.
