Fr. Leonid Malkov C.Ss.R.
The first Ukrainian settlers arrived in the Krydor area in 1905. Within a few years, they built a small church dedicated to St. Demetrius on land donated by Oleksa Worobetz. Blessed Bishop Nykyta Budka visited the parish in 1919.
The present church was constructed in 1948 to replace the original building, which was dismantled a few years later to make way for a rectory in the town. Bishop Andrew Roborecki blessed the new church in the year of its construction and dedicated it to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Beside the church stands an impressive stone belfry, built in 1971.
The Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus at Krydor is served by clergy from the North Battleford & Hafford Pastoral District.
