Fr. Leonid Malkov C.Ss.R.
The first Ukrainian settlers arrived in the Orolow area in 1904. The Church of the Descent of the Holy Spirit was built in 1910 on land donated by Stephan Tesluik.
Over the years, the community cared for and embellished their church. In 1948, growth in the parish necessitated an expansion of the building. A bell tower was added in 1950, followed by a parish hall in 1953. The church was redecorated in 1988, and washrooms were constructed on the property in 1994.
The Church of the Descent of the Holy Spirit at Orolow is served by clergy from the North Battleford & Hafford Pastoral District.
